Doug
"Raven" Eagle is an Ordained Minister and holds a Masters
Degree in Earthology. He is a Spiritual Teacher and Ceremonial Leader
for the Eagle Bear Clan. Raven is the founder of The 9 Fires Global
Peace Initiative and the originator of the 9 Qualities of Inner
Peace workshops and the 9 Fires Medicine Wheels of Peace. Raven
works in the realms of Earth and Sky, bringing together the indigenous
teachings of Mother Earth and the wisdoms of the Stars.
Raven has always relished Nature. He grew up learning about the
natural world and all of the gifts it has to offer. As a young boy
he would return home from school each day to hike and explore in
the nearby forest .
He has climbed glaciers in the Rockies, ridden dogsleds in Alaska,
scaled the Alps in Germany, hiked the jungles of Mexico and Guatemala
and lived with the Mayan people. He brings these experiences and
the knowledge he has gained to all of the presentations and activities
he offers.
Over the years Raven has served all his relations as a Police Officer,
Martial Arts Instructor, Nurse, Teacher and Military Officer. Now
he services in a different way.
Ravens have been the subjects of many stories from around the world.
Merlin had a Raven as a friend. There are stories about Raven and
Coyote in the native traditions. Raven is the carrier of magic and
energy. He symbolizes Occult Wisdom. Raven brought the sun to Turtle
Island, the bringer of the light.
During his first Vision Quest in Zion Canyon, Utah, a raven appeared
bringing a huge salmon and landed in the tree above where he was
sitting. The raven was huge, luminescent, black, purple, and magnificent.
Since that day Raven has taught him many things and come in many
visions. He has shown him how to bring the Light, to be the Keeper
of the Flames, so that he may assist humanity in moving from the
darkness of illusion into the light of Truth.
One of Raven's missions is to shine the Light of Truth around the
world so that we can see the illusions we have created for ourselves.
His mission is to carry the Flames of Truth so that we can move
out of the darkness into the light. As the Keeper of the Flames,
he has been asked to work with the energies of earth, air, fire,
water, and ether to reveal through alchemy and sacred ceremony the
vibration of Peace: inner peace for ourselves, peace between family
members, peace in our communities, our countries, and around our
planet.
He does this through creating sacred space in ceremony and celebration
by using Fire to transmute and transform the illusion of darkness
to let the light shine through. When the flames of our spirit burn
the veils away, the Truth of our existence is revealed and we are
shown the path of eternal Peace, Harmony, and communion with Spirit.
